Description

So, this project I had to pick from a hat three times, there was a Character design, a setting, and an adjective. These three different pieces of paper with whatever was written on them had to be combined. So I got; A Monster, Guardian in Ancient Egypt, and also cute. And I had t write a description on what it was.

The monster is one that protects the spirits of those that have passed on. It travels the world, in search of souls in danger of being persecuted by creatures of the dark. It will eat the soul of anything that would try to rob a soul from it's corpse, or even impersonate it. It looks intimidating, but is very bashful and innocent, if it could, it would probably enjoy playing with small children as it can be very playful. It borrows objects of the souls it protects from around the world, like jewelry, or anything that it finds interesting. It returns the things it borrows when it's life comes to an end. As this creature, or rather, The Soul Eating Guardian, dies, and with it it takes all the evil spirits it ate with it into the dust they will become. When it's time draws near, it will give birth to a new one will take it's place, after all, there can only be one. As it dies, it realizes how attached it was to it's child, and wonders how it will fare in the long lonely life ahead.

I didn't have time to do the Hieroglyphs ><. I didn't finish many things with this picture, and I am sure you can tell. Perhaps I will finish it. What is the Soul Eating Guardian? I honestly, don't know. When I picked a monster, Guardian in Egypt, and cute out of the hat, I wanted to do something "original". However he did originally start off as a Chimera, then a Manticore, and then I was just like....... Screw it, random stuff go! Honestly, I didn't know HOW to design it's lower half. BUT I can tell you, that it has no legs, it can levitate, and it does obviously have magical powers. The creature, I based it off of, was an Unicorn or a Phoenix, where when it dies, a new one is born in it's place? I also based it off of a Grim Reaper type of deal, but with some kind of reptilian look. Whether or not there is only one of these creatures, I am unsure, but I believe there is only one. As for the purple portal, it is dying, as you are seeing the bones of this creature, the dying hair, and it's black ashes as the portal pulls it through it, you will notice that it dies through this portal, and the new one is being spawned simultaneously. Now, it dies this way, to make sure the evil spirits that it has eaten dies along with it. It's mouth, spans all the way to it's shoulders(it's hard to see in this picture though), and when it opens it's mouth, you can see the spirits of those it ate, trying to escape, and mashed into what looks like it's tongue. It grows depending on how many it eats throughout it's long lifetime. It is supposed to be a pitiful creature, and this scene should show how sad it really is. Wondering, what will happen to what would be it's child. It's child will live a long lonely life like it did in the darkness of tombs and graveyards all over the world. I signified this, deep darkness with the background, I made that dark to show the looming lonely death that is slowly approaching the creature.
